SOME HINTS ON SAFETY
- Never smoke when handling gas cylinders of any sort
- Do not drop cylinders from a height
- Store cylinders in a well ventilated place
- Keep cylinders away from electrical circuits and from sources of fire or heat
- Store and use cylinders in the upright position
- Avoid contact of cylinders and cylinder fittings with oil or grease
- Always use a recommended regulator to control and monitor gas withdrawal from cylinders
- Use proper tools to fit and remove equipment and accessories
- Do not use oxygen to drive power tools such as drills. Etc
- Use Nitrogen instead
Test for gas leaks with soapy water
- Do not weld or braze or repair cylinders and valves
- Use appropriate cylinder for each gas type.
